Let’s meet Emmalea

I’ve been in the new home industry for over 10 years. I started out helping decorate show homes for an interior designer, and that experience sparked something in me.

Over the years, I’ve worked with several builders and even spent time assisting in resale real estate, which gave me a deeper appreciation for the value and thoughtfulness that goes into new home construction. I’ve been lucky to work on some incredible projects—including the Fort McMurray rebuild—and those experiences have shaped how I approach every client interaction: with empathy, insight, and a genuine desire to help.

What are three fun facts about you?

I was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, but I grew up in Spokane Washington,

I love music, musical theatre specifically. I sing and I play piano.

I have 2 dogs, a husky and a black lab, I love high energy.

WHAT excites you most about the home-buying journey?

I love being part of such a meaningful milestone in people’s lives. Whether it’s a growing family, a fresh start, or even someone’s forever home, it’s incredibly rewarding to help guide them through the process. Every client has a story, and I get to be part of it.

My approach is rooted in empathy and lifestyle-focused guidance. I love taking the time to understand how my clients live—and how their new home can best support that. New homes are designed with today’s families in mind. They’re easier to maintain, more efficient, and built around how people actually live.

WHat is it that makes cantiro special?

This is my third time returning to Cantiro, and that says everything. From day one, I was trained to take pride in what I do, to be an expert, and to treat people with kindness. Even as the company grows, that culture of respect and support hasn’t changed.

I also appreciate the leadership’s hands-on approach. George, our CEO, came out to site just to say hi. That kind of presence and care from the top down is rare—and it means a lot.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE COMMUNITY AMENITY IN Ardrossan?

If I had to pick one standout feature of the community, it’d definitely be the incredible recreation facility. It’s at the heart of everything here and has so much to offer.

I mean, it’s not just your typical community center.

There’s a fitness center, indoor rinks for both curling and hockey and even an indoor track for walking or running. They’ve got team training rooms too, which is great for anyone into sports. Plus, there’s a “Love to Play Room” for the younger kids and a youth lounge for older ones. It’s honestly got something for everyone!

What is your favourite Cantiro Model?

The Vista 24 is my favorite—it’s incredibly functional and beautifully designed. From the spacious kitchen and walk-through pantry to the tech space upstairs and the covered deck, it’s a home you can truly grow into.

Not to mention the stunning the open-to-below feature, large mudroom, and generous garage space. It’s a higher-end model, but the value is undeniable. It really has something for everyone.
