    Steel Frame Home Models – FAQ’s

    • No. Steel frame construction is currently available on select models in select Edmonton and area communities. Availability will continue to grow over time, but construction approach may vary by home.

    • No. Steel frame home models are not different in layout, design, or appearance from Cantiro’s wood frame home models.  


      The difference is in the construction method behind the walls. Steel frame construction replaces traditional wood framing with precision–engineered steel framing, while the home’s floor plans, elevations, interior finishes, and overall design remain the same. Buyers can choose their preferred model with confidence, knowing the living experience is unchanged.

    • Steel frame construction is identified through model naming, not by visible differences in the finished home. Models built with steel frame construction include an “S” at the end of the model name. For example, a Metro Fit 14 TH is a wood frame home, while a Metro Fit 14 TH-S is built using steel frame construction. 

      On this page and throughout the website, steel frame models are clearly labelled using this designation. Your Cantiro sales team can also confirm whether a specific model or quick possession home is built with steel frame construction and explain where steel frame homes are currently available.
