Addressing Historical Name Concerns in Edmonton

We fully support the City of Edmonton’s Indigenous Relations Office ongoing work with key stakeholders to provide guidance to City Council regarding the renaming of the Grandin community as well as related buildings and landmarks.

As such, we will no longer use the Grandin name in reference to our project’s location and will simply refer to the building as CX. We are actively changing this in all of our communication and signage materials.

We support the City’s actions to address and minimize the re-traumatization of residential school survivors and Indigenous communities. For further information on their activities, please visit the City’s Indigenous Relations Office website.
