Meet Our Sales Team—Sudip Punoria
In our ongoing blog series, we’ll introduce you to the members of our award-winning sales team at Cantiro Homes. Today, we’re excited to introduce Sudip Punoria, our Area Sales Manager in Élan – Beaumont.
Let’s meet Sudip
My real estate career started when I was shopping for a new home back in 2012. My wife and I would go to different show homes after work and we saw many different salespeople, but not everyone would entertain us. They would ask us if we liked the house or didn’t like the house and that was the end of the conversation. It was my wife who planted the seed, she said, “You could be really good at this kind of work, you’re great at talking to people.”
Sometime later, we met Caroline Bliss, who is also with Cantiro, and we ended up buying a house from her in Laurel. During the process, I thought “why don’t I apply for a show home position and see whether I can get it or not?” so I started as a sales assistant, it was a great opportunity to get started in the industry.
Gradually, I moved to Morrison Homes as an assistant, I worked there for about two years. Because this was my second career, I was eager to learn everything that I could about selling homes. Eventually, I became an area sales manager, I have my own assistants now, I oversee multiple communities and products. Now, I’ve been doing this for over a decade.
What are three fun facts about you?
I love cooking. I was a chef in my previous life. Ask me to cook for a party of 50, no problem! I can cook all day. It lowers my stress level, I just love being in the kitchen. It’s not a chore for me.
I love looking after plants. I wouldn’t say that I have a green thumb exactly, but it makes me happy to take care of them, to watch them grow.
I have two little kids; I really love playing with them. My daughter is 8 and my son is 6 years old. The great thing about this career is that even though I work weekends, I have a lot of flexibility with taking them to appointments or going to see their soccer games. Cantiro is very supportive of that, they know that we work hard for them, and they work hard for us too.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR HOME BUYERS?
With first time homebuyers, I always tell them that there’s three very important parts of buying a house. First of all, buy the house that you can afford – don’t buy something just for the price, make sure that you like the product and that it suites your lifestyle.
The second thing is to buy a house in a place you want to live, you don’t buy a house in Beaumont just because its cheaper than Edmonton. You buy it because you like the family vibe around here, right? The community vibe, the amenities, that it’s relaxed and slower paced than the city.
The third most important thing is to make sure that you’re comfortable with your salesperson, because they will be your point of contact for the next ten months. If the salesperson doesn’t take care of you, they don’t listen to your concerns, or answer your questions, you’re never going to have a good house.

WHat is it that makes cantiro special?
In this position, you become the face of the company for most of your clients. One thing I noticed about Cantiro is how they were willing to support their salespeople, empowering them to go above and beyond for the client. I thought that this was impressive.
Cantiro would never dismiss their clients outright just because something may or may not be covered by the warranty. Our Client Care department is always willing to listen to the client and assess the situation to find out the best possible solution for them, within reason. This is so important because it reflects well on the company. I would never be able to build trust with my clients without the excellent work that the client care team does. It speaks volumes.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE COMMUNITY AMENITY IN Élan?
At the heart of Élan lies Parc Réunis, a vibrant community hub designed for active play and outdoor adventure. The park’s imaginative, wood-crafted playgrounds invite children to explore and test their skills with structures that encourage physical challenge and creative play. Each element was thoughtfully chosen to withstand Alberta’s intense winters, ensuring durability and year-round enjoyment.
