In our ongoing blog series, we’ll introduce you to the members of our award-winning sales team at Cantiro Homes. Today, we’re excited to introduce Shawna Eskiw, our Area Sales Manager in Riverside – St. Albert.

Let’s meet Shawna

I started with real estate in 2009, I have been a licensed realtor until July 2024 which is when I started with Cantiro Homes. So I have lots of experience with real estate and sales, but working with a builder is new for me. I actually just love real estate, I wanted to buy and invest myself, so I did. I always wanted to get my license, so I did. I love the pace, it’s fast and ever changing.

When Cantiro Homes was Dolce Vita, located in upper Windermere, I used to visit show home to educate myself on new styles and trends. I was always struck by the quality of the workmanship and the product. One of the sales representatives was really friendly and spoke highly of her work with the company. Those two factors together created a lasting impression on me and so when I felt it was time to make a career change, I knew that Cantiro Homes was the place for me.

What are three fun facts about you?

I’m a mum, my kids are my whole world. I feel like being a mother really helps me understand and empathize with my clients when I’m helping them find a home that best suits their needs.

I have a quarter horse, I train and I have shown him in working cowhorse, reigning and would like to do some barrel racing; I love the adrenaline rush, the quick maneuvers on the fly – it’s all so exciting.

I love the mountains, Jasper in the off season is where I find my peace and tranquility.

WHAT excites you most about the home-buying journey?

I love the way that each stage of the journey flows into the next. In the beginning, just getting to really know the clients; hearing about what stages of life they’re going through whether that’s building their family nest for the first time, or maybe starting to leave it behind.

So much of my job is just listening to not only what people’s current state of life is, but also where they envision themselves ten, twenty years down the road. I love that my job is to help them find a home that helps them along their families’ journey.

WHat is it that makes cantiro special?

I love how Cantiro curates their products to the needs of their customers. There is just so much thought and consideration that goes into every detail in terms of the floor plans, the storage options, the communities that we build in. The upgrades that are possible within the Life Collection alone are staggering.

However, the biggest thing that I think makes Cantiro special is the upfront way that we handle the building costs. Cantiro is as transparent as possible when it comes to detailing how much building a home will cost their customers; and it’s that kind of honesty that really helps customers trust that we will deliver the home that they’re dreaming about.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE COMMUNITY AMENITY IN Riverside?

The walking trails down by the river. The trail system in St. Albert is ninety-nine kilometers long and is
such that it connects the entire community – from its parks to its urban shopping areas.

So, you could walk from Riverside to Kingswood but you’d need some really comfortable shoes!

Hands down The Generations 26. It is such a beautiful home in terms of not only its size but also its style. It has enough space to share with your kids and with your parents, so that your family can grow in a way that everyone feels supported and cherished. From homework rooms to family rooms, to a private bathroom oasis to recharge at the end of a long day. The wonderful thing about this house is that you can see it in person for yourself in Alces, southeast Edmonton.
